  • Hello all! My husband is graduating basic training at Fort Benning GA and shipping directly to Fort Campbell the day of graduation. I hear that he will be allowed 10 days of free leave to come home and help me move but I am curious as to how long that takes to happen? I know that we will have to stay in a hotel until we can find housing so I am also curious if anybody knows of any pet-friendly hotels in the area. I am very new to all of this so any pointers and tips are welcome! Also I am curious about the hospital on base. I am pregnant with our first child and would like to know how others liked the hospital. Thank you all in advance for any responses and I look forward to seeing our new home!

  • Ashlee I hope this is not too late. But I highly recommend looking for housing off base. Many of the apartments on post have a terrible problem with brown recluse infestation. Housing won't admit it or address the issues. My son is finding 10-15 live ones a day not to mention dead ones. We are in communication with congressman Marsha Blackburn right now to try and hold them accountable.
